vdev to mirrored rpool

I'm wondering if it is possible to add another mirrored vdev to an already mirrored rpool to increase the size of the rpool?

If I understand your question correctly, then yes.

Your pool will be transformed from RAID 1 to RAID 1+0 with (at least)
two physical vdevs in each logical vdev.

Assuming your existing vdev members are da0 and da1, and your latest
addition are da2 da3, then zpool add rpool mirror da2 da3 should do
the trick.

The OP doesn't specify the OS. ;)

FreeBSD can boot from a multi-vdev root pool. Can even boot off a root
pool using raidz vdevs.​​
